Our adventure began at Wyanga Park Winery, a picturesque estate just a short drive from Lakes Entrance. As we approached, we were greeted by the enchanting aroma of grapes and the sight of sprawling vineyards. The cellar door, a cozy and inviting space, offered a curated selection of their award-winning wines. We couldn’t resist indulging in a tasting flight, savoring the complex flavors of their chardonnay, pinot noir, and cabernet sauvignon.
Next on our itinerary was Nicholson River Winery, a family-owned gem nestled amidst lush greenery. Their passion for winemaking was evident in every sip. We were particularly impressed by their smooth pinot noir and crisp chardonnay, which perfectly complemented the serene vineyard setting.
If you’re craving a truly unique craft beer experience, Sailors Grave Brewing is a must-visit. They’ve recently moved to Dunetown, a farmhouse brewery nestled between the dunes of Marlo and Cape Conran. This new home captures the spirit of East Gippsland, celebrating local ingredients and the pristine wilderness that surrounds it.
