Lakes Entrance Eats: My Delicious Adventures From Beachcomber Holiday Units

Hey there, fellow food enthusiasts! If you're looking for a seaside escape that tantalizes your taste buds as much as it soothes your soul, then look no further than Lakes Entrance. As someone who spends way too much time (but never enough!) at Beachcomber Holiday Units, I've become a bit of a local cafe connoisseur. Trust me, there's something for every craving here!

Just imagine this: you wake up at Beachcomber, the crisp ocean air flowing through your window. Your stomach starts rumbling, and you're ready to fuel up for a day of exploring. Well, you're in luck! We're surrounded by incredible cafes, all within walking distance.

Our Daily Dose of Deliciousness

Let's start with the star of the show: Funkey Monkey. This place is an absolute must-visit! Located a mere two-minute stroll from Beachcomber, it's become our daily ritual to indulge in their delicious treats. From their heavenly cakes and pastries to their savory breakfast and lunch options, Funkey Monkey never disappoints. Their coffee is top-notch, and the friendly staff always make us feel like regulars. It's the perfect spot to kickstart your day or unwind in the afternoon.

Beachside Bliss and Fresh Eats

Albert & Co. is right on the stunning Cunningham Arm, so you can soak in the views while indulging in their amazing food. From fresh, local seafood to perfectly cooked steaks, their menu is a celebration of East Gippsland's bounty. Plus, the Hamptons vibes make you feel like you've stepped onto a movie set (minus the Hollywood crowds).

Coffee Fix with a Smile

If a good coffee is your morning ritual, then Bloody Good Coffee lives up to its name. They take their beans seriously, and cater to all sorts of dietary needs. Plus, their friendly baristas always brighten my day. It's the perfect spot to grab a latte and a delicious breakfast wrap before hitting the beach.

Cozy Coffee Hideaways

For those mornings when you want a quieter escape, Brew Bar on the Ninety Mile is your haven. It's a short stroll from Beachcomber, and their coffee selection is fantastic. They also have yummy grab-and-go options, perfect for a picnic on the beach.

Hidden Gems and Local Delights

Of course, there's so much more to discover! KelliCake is a charming bakery overflowing with cupcakes, cookies, and cakes that are as beautiful as they are tasty. And for a truly unique experience, check out Wonkadoo Lounge. They specialize in handcrafted, gluten-free chocolates and ice cream – perfect for those with dietary restrictions (or just a love for something different!). Craving a classic treat? Big Bear Donuts offers a wide variety of donuts, perfect for a sweet pick-me-up.

Surf Vibes and Waterfront Views

If you're feeling the surfer vibes, Salty Groms is your place. This locally owned cafe is all about good times and good food. Grab a coffee and an egg and bacon roll to fuel your day of catching waves.

Panoramic Vistas and Local Produce

For a truly special dining experience, head to KP's Eatery. Waterfront views? Check. Passionate chef who creates culinary magic? Check. It's the perfect spot for a romantic lunch or a memorable family outing.

Looking for a charming cafe caters to all dietary requirements then you love The Cove, offering a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food. It's conveniently located across the footbridge near the main beach and the start of the Entrance Walk.

For a change of scenery, head to Lake Tyers and enjoy the waterfront views at The General. This cafe offers a delightful menu and a laid-back atmosphere.

*Beyond the Blog:*

This is just a taste (pun intended!) of the incredible cafes that await you just steps from Beachcomber Holiday Units. Don't forget to explore hidden gems like Gippsland Bakehouse and Lakes Entrance Bakery – you won't be disappointed!

So, come on down to Lakes Entrance, pack your appetite, and get ready to embark on a delicious adventure. We'll be waiting for you at Beachcomber, with recommendations and a comfy place to rest your happy (and full!) belly.
