ON FOOT: Ocean Entrance Nature Walk

Embark on a captivating journey through nature with the Ocean Entrance Nature Walk. As part of the East Gippsland Winter Festival every Sunday morning, experienced tour guide Skipper Pete invites a small group of bushwalkers on a 3 km adventure from the Lakes Entrance Footbridge to the Ocean Entrance. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the coastal landscape and discover the diverse wildlife that inhabits the area.

During the 2-hour walk, Skipper Pete will share fascinating insights about the local wildlife, including Fur-Seals, Dolphins, Pelicans, and various bird species. The sandy tracks and occasional steps add an element of adventure to the experience. Participants have the flexibility to return to the starting point at their own pace or extend their visit at the scenic Ocean Entrance.

Skipper Pete, a former National Park Ranger and Certified Eco-Guide, brings over 15 years of expertise to this guided tour. His passion for East Gippsland shines through as he shares his extensive knowledge with participants. Please ensure you have good health, mobility, and suitable clothing and footwear for the walk.
