Join us on the weekend of Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November for a vibrant and enriching cultural experience celebrating Dia de los Muertos – the Mexican Day of the Dead. This family-friendly event will bring the traditions of this UNESCO-recognized celebration to life right here in Lakes Entrance, just a 5-minute stroll from Beachcomber Holiday Units!

12:00pm: Ofrenda Display Opening – Witness the stunning traditional altar honoring loved ones.
1:00pm: Masterclass: The Meaning Behind the Day of the Dead – Learn the significance of this 3000-year-old tradition.
3:00pm: Paint Your Own Mexican Skull Workshop – Get creative! Fee: $50 per person (booking required).
5:00pm: Movie Screening: Coco (PG, 105 mins) – The beloved Disney movie celebrating Mexican culture.
7:00pm: Movie Screening: Macario (M15+, 90 mins) – A classic Mexican film nominated at Cannes Film Festival. In Spanish with English subtitles.

11:30am: Candy Skull Piñata Workshop for Kids – Free event, RSVP required.
1:00pm: Masterclass: The Catrina – Who is the Fancy Mexican Skull?
1:00pm – 5:00pm: Mexican Handcraft and Curiosities Market – Browse unique Mexican treasures.
2:00pm: Become a Catrina: Makeup, Dress-Up, and Photo Experience – Transform into a Catrina with full makeup and costume! $80 per person (booking required).
5:00pm: Mexican Folk Dance Performance (TO BE CONFIRMED) – A lively performance by Son de Mexico dance group.
